Why doesn’t Albert fight back
when he “meets” the group of boys
after school? Why hasn’t he told anyone about the encounters?
Because he doesn’t want to because they were smaller and people think the big kid starts the fight and he doesn’t believe in
fighting or violence. His dad and mom are always busy. Also they would think he started the fight because he is older and people would make fun of him, because the kids that are punching him are smaller. From Miss Calloway’s 4th grade class (Houston, TX)
We believe Albert doesn’t believe in violence so by hitting back he would be doing something he totally does not believe in.
We also believe that he has not told anyone because he didn’t want to make the encounters worse for himself. i.e. the bullies find out that he told on them and then they retaliate even worse.
